BORDENTOWN BALLET THEATRE

     Jaztabal Dance has it's own resident ballet company, the Bordentown Ballet Theatre. The company was founded by Heather Walker, Director of Jaztabal Dance in Bordentown, in 1999.  It is a company consisting of approximately 35 dancers that are seleted through audition, 10 additional cast members and a committee of parents working together.

     The creation of Bordentown Ballet Theatre came out of a request by parents and students made to Heather, after performing with her in another dance company.  After serious consideration, Heather accepted the offer and the Bordentown Ballet Theatre was born. 

     The company first perfomred "Scrooge" the story of "A Christmas Carol" in December 1999.  This show was performed for 10 years with hundreds of company and cast members performing throughout the years.

     After 10 years of "Scrooge"  Heather decided to do the "Nutcracker", allowing company members the opportunity to perform in yet another very special Christmas story.
